Aging
in men is naturally accompanied by changes in endocrine regulation, the most
significant of which is a progressive decline in androgenic function. According
to epidemiological studies, men over 60 years of age experience an annual
decrease in testosterone levels averaging 0.8–1.0%, and this physiological
process can be significantly exacerbated by obesity and metabolic syndrome.
